Carissimi,
ricevo dal Padre Gustavo Jamut la notizia della morte del Padre Nestor Dominguez la notizia che il carissimo Padre Nestor Dominguez OMV è deceduto oggi, 23 gennaio, nella comunità di San Roque in Argentina. Padre Nestor è nato Lamadrid (Argentina) il 28 gennaio 1929.
Ha fatto il noviziato a Vila Udaondo, emettendo la Professione il 10 marzo 1947.
E’ stato ordinato sacerdote il 7 dicembre 1955.
Padre Nestor ha svolto vari incarichi, contribuendo allo sviluppo delle nostre comunità in Argentina. Ma il suo impegno più importante lo ha svolto a Montevideo, nella nostra antica parrocchia di N. Signora della Mercede, dove vi è rimasto sino agli anni novanta.
Da oltre un decennio era stato trasferito nella comunità di San Roque, dove, assieme a Padre Antonio Fontana, si è dedicato in maniera speciale al ministero della riconciliazione.
Padre Nestor sarà ricordato per la sua semplicità e generosità d’animo, per impegno apostolico e la grande serenità. A coloro che lo hanno conosciuto lascia il suo grande sorriso.
Grazie Padre Nestor! Sei stato un vero dono!

Dear Brothers,

I have received news from Fr. Gustavo Jamut regarding the death of Fr. Nestor Dominguez, OMV, today, January 23, in the community of San Roque in Argentina. Fr. Nestor was born in Lamadrid, Argentina on January 28, 1929.

He did his Novitiate year at Vila Udaondo, and was professed on March 10, 1947. He was ordained to the Priesthood on December 7, 1955.

Fr. Nestor was involved in various apostolic acttivites, contributing to the development of our communities in Argentina. But his most significant efforts were in Montevideo, our ancient, former Parish of Nostra Signora della Mercede, where he remained until the 1990‘s.

For more than 10 years then he was a member of the community of San Roque, where together with Fr. Antonio Fontana, he was especially dedicated to the ministry of reconciliation.

Fr. Nestor will be remembered for his simplicity and generosity of spirit, for his apostolic work carried on wiith a great serenity. For those who knew him, he leaves his great smile.

Thank you Fr. Nestor! You have truly been a great gift to us!

Let us remember him in our prayers, asking that he continue to love and protect us from heaven.
